First Blood (1982)

“First Blood” (1982), directed by Ted Kotcheff, introduces John Rambo, a former Green Beret haunted by his experiences in Vietnam.

As he drifts into a small town, seeking nothing more than a meal, he’s met with hostility from the local sheriff. When the harassment escalates, Rambo’s survival instincts are triggered, and he is forced into a one-man war against the authorities who underestimate him.

The film is a tense exploration of a soldier’s struggle to reintegrate into a society that fears him, and it underscores themes of alienation, the scars of war, and the fine line between hero and outcast.
