The Fly (1986)

“The Fly” (1986), directed by David Cronenberg, is a hauntingly inventive science fiction horror film that follows Seth Brundle, a brilliant but eccentric scientist whose experiment with teleportation goes tragically awry.

After a test run with a teleportation device, Seth begins to undergo a grotesque transformation into a human-fly hybrid, with his physical decay paralleling his mental unraveling. As his once-groundbreaking work spirals into a nightmare, his relationships, particularly with journalist Veronica Quaife, become strained and fraught with terror.

The film masterfully blends body horror with a poignant exploration of human vulnerability and the devastating consequences of scientific hubris.
