Apollo 18 (2011)

“Apollo 18” (2011), directed by Gonzalo López-Gallego, reimagines the canceled lunar mission as a chilling found-footage horror tale. The film follows two astronauts who embark on a secret mission to the moon, only to discover that they are not alone.

As they explore the desolate lunar surface, strange occurrences and disturbing evidence suggest that something sinister is lurking in the shadows. The astronauts’ descent into paranoia and fear is captured through their onboard cameras, revealing a terrifying cover-up that suggests humanity was never meant to return to the moon.

The film deftly blends science fiction with horror, exploring themes of isolation, fear of the unknown, and the unsettling possibility that some secrets are best left buried.
